Double post today!!
The cold weather may be lingering, but thanks to Lizzie Kate, there is a Spring Bouquet in bloom. In the Spring of 2010, about 2 months after Lil Monkey was born, I was looking for quick cross stitch projects to help me relax while still recovering and trying to adjust to being home so much.
I had fall in love with some Lizzie Kate patterns that were gifted to me in a Cross Stitch Secret Sister exchange and decided to see what else they had. I found a few patterns, but this beautiful Spring was in their free pattern section and I was excited to print and get started right away.
I had been stitching kitchen towels and such off and on for years. I loved the color they added to the kitchen and we actually used then instead of just using as decor. I love to redesign the pattern into something new. This one was a small cross stitching for framing, but I decided to make it into a table runner.
This was my first cross stitched tablerunnner. It was easy to stitch a quick boreder, then I duplicated the flower in each corner. I then centered the words, "Hello Spring" on the long sides of the table runner.
I also stitched a kitchen towel that matched it.
I recently pulled this pattern out again recently because I thought it would be fun to make a matchingbread cloth and maybe even napkins. I just love Spring projects, the colors are so bright and vibrant. What are some Spring projects you are working on?
Until our next cup of tea ...
