Editor's Note: This week's #ExploreMoreMonday is on hiatus so that we can explore and celebrate the beginning of Teacher's Appreication Week 2015!
Today kicks off Teacher Appreciation Week in the United States, one of my favorite weeks of the year because I get to do some quick and fun craft projects for our teachers. Today's gift required very little work, which I probably should have saved for later in the week in case I got bogged down at work, but last night I had a migraine that landed me in bed for a few hours, so I got up at 9:30 p.m. to make labels for this week's projects and find wrapping for today's gift.
After speaking with my son's teachers,, I knew that they drank hot tea, and of course in Texas, you drink iced tea as well, so I got two tins of fruit teas from TEAinTEXAS and picked two tea balls or tea infusers (whichever one you call it).
This morning before school, I wrapped the tea tins in some colored tissue and tied with ribbon. Then I added the tag I'd made last night using white address labels and cardstock. I strung the infuser to the ribbon and tied it again with a bow. Quick and easy!
The teachers were happy when they realized they'd have a new tea to drink after a long day and we talked awhile about iced and hot tea, fruity teas and such.
Here is a look at some of the proejcts we've made for past teachers ...
The first one had tags that said, "You are 'Berry" special to me" and had berry flavored drink mixes in them. The last one had a tag that said "You are an AWesome teacher. HUGS and KISSES ..."
How have you celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week?
Until our next cup of tea ...
