The past few days ... well, even last few weeks, South Texas has ensured some rainstorms that range from short and sweet to big and brisk. When we get a break in the rain, we spend as much time as we can out and about at the library, local parks and pools or kids entertainment businesses, but sometimes its just too tempting to not snuggle in bed and watch movies or stitch a craft project when those storms roll in.
The back of our house has a large cluster of Colocasias, also known as Elephant Ear Plants. I love these plants, I don't know what it is about then that just makes me fall in love, but they are so beautiful. I really love how they look after a rainstorm with giant randrops resting one their big heart-shaped leaves. Here are a few photos I have taken over the past few days. I never cease to be amazed at the beauty of nature.
