Ready to Get Back To It ...

I'm This week we returned to our regularly scheduled monogramming, so to speak. Lil Monkey returned to school with only minor difficulties, Prince Charming returned to work with a good dose of enthusiasm, the holiday decorations are all put away and the house is about 60% back in order. So I've got time to get back in the studio and back to the blog! Yeah! I've missed you guys ...

So much has happened in the past few weeks. Last month I posted about trying my first piece of clothing from a pattern. I also posted this update photo on the Facebook page ...

I finished this shirt and a matching one for my husband on Dec. 23, and the next morning we boarded the Disney Wonder for a Christmas cruise so I didn't have time to post the finished photos. However, my boys had fun matching on the cruise.

But I didn't stop there. Of course I had to match too, so I made myself a Quiltsmart Mondo Bag from the leftover scraps. I was a bit nervous that most of the Mickey Mouses on the fabric would be all cut up because it  uses 2 1/2 inch squares.

When I went to the store to get a little more of the blue Mickey Mouse fabric, I also found a nautical themed Mickey Mouse fabric that I HAD to get. I mean, we are going on a cruise with Mickey Mouse!! So when I got home, I decided to make us all matching pajama shorts!

Look at those itty bitty shorts for Lil Monkey! UGH, I'm going to be so sad when he no longer lets me make him clothes ...

As you can see I was quite busy preparing for the cruise. It was quite a whirlwind week as we also had Lil Monkey's school activities for Christmas including his first school Christmas Program and a holiday party, then Prince Charming graduated law school. What a great week!!

I am so excited about what new adventures 2016 holds for me when it comes to projects for The Teacup Cottage.

Until our next cup of tea ...
