Adulthood in Hard, Take Time to Color

Adult coloring books are becoming quite the trend in recent months, and the style doesn't look like its ending any time soon either. In case you haven't seen it yet, adult coloring books are filled with intricate designs. The books are touted as a way to de-stress and relax. I've seen them praised nearly daily on craft blogs and creative Facebook pages, but for a while, it wasn't something that interested me. I saw them at many of the craft stores I visited, and they looked beautiful, but never thought the buy one.

This past Christmas, my grandmother gave me a set of books, color pencils and soft pastels (chalk). I gave it a whirl shorty after the new year and fell in love!

My grandmother also received a set of book for Christmas and colors a page nearly every night. I don't find the time to color nearly that often, but it is a fun activity to do while waiting for dinner to cook or when Little Monkey is playing.

Have you tried any of these books? What are your thoughts?

Until our next cup of tea ...
