Pretty Pink Duo -Tote and Toddler Dress

If you have visited my Instagram page lately, you may have seen this cute rainbow colored duo ...

My sister-in-law asked if I could make a tote for my 3-year-old niece's dance stuff, so she could keep all her dance stuff together and ready to go. Considering she has been a swim mom for my nephew for probably 6-8 years, she's definitely a pro at this and I could learn a thing or two!

Of course I agreed, and when she sent me the fabric, I was even more excited. I got distracted for a week or so with some work for clients, so I didn't get a chance to get to it until earlier this week.

Her tote bag, is the one on the left. I made it using Quiltsmart's Market Bag. The toddler dress on the right, made using the same interfacing with the altered instructions included. I chose to make it a little cover for her dance leotard, so they could run errands or whatnot without having to worry about changing her.

Both the tote and the cover ate reversible, so they have the same two fabrics on both. I also used the Practical Art Raw-Edge Letters to add her initial to the tote. The instructions are easy, and I love that they have pictures or drawing to go with each one.

I've got more projects on the table, so come back and visit to see what else I can mark off the to-do list!

Until our next cup of tea ...
