Sewcial Bee Sampler, Block 2

On February 3, I started a weekly stitch-a-long called Sewcial Bee Sampler, hosted by Maureen Cracknell and Sharon Holland. Each Wednesday they will post a new block for 25 weeks. You can start at any time and check their blogs for all the blocks from week 1 to current week.

This is my block for this week:

I wanted to use fabrics from JoAnn Fabrics that I fell in love with and bought a few months ago called Buttercream Premium Fabrics, Elizabeth Collection. I wasn't going to use it, but since the colors are all about the same, I thought it would be great to have some of the block patterns blend or disappear so that they kind of pop out at you after you've been starting at them a minute. Like an optical illusion.

I was also tasked with 'Bear-sitting" my son's bear during this project and was told I'd need to show the project to him (the bear) when done. So I did. Apparently, it got approval. Thank you, Duffy.

Thank you to the sponsors of the Sewcial Bee Sampler. Check the hosts blogs to find information on weekly giveaways.

Until next time, stay #CreativelyInspired!
