Finally finished my first ever crocheted project, a blanket. I really am glad this thing is done. Officially the FIRST crochet project I have ever completed. I have had 1 mom, 2 grandmothers and 1 great-grandmothers all attempt to teach me how to crochet with disastrous results. I'll post more about it in my blog, but at 10:02 pm on March 27, 2017 I accomplished what my poor female ancestors thought couldn't be done (and truthfully, me as well!)
I started in January 2015. I found the Lionbrand Yarn on sale at JoAnn's the week of my birthday and started the afghan shortly after that. There were a few stops and starts and even some moments of wondering if I'd ever get it finished. I also took breaks from it in the summer, opting for less hot crafting choices, like cross stitching. As you can see, there was also some outside factors stopping my progress along the way.
It may have taken 2 years and may not be the straightest afghan, but I am so glad that I got it done. Will I ever do one again? Not anytime soon, but I'm sure I'll pick the needle up again. Until then, I have a stack of half-finished projects waiting on my table.
Until next time, stay #CreativelyInspired!
