On February 3, I started a weekly stitch-a-long called Sewcial Bee Sampler, hosted by Maureen Cracknell and Sharon Holland. Each Wednesday they will post a new block for 25 weeks. You can start at any time and check their blogs for all the blocks from week 1 to current week.
I got behind Week 4 when my brother and his family visited. I mean I got to meet my new 4 month old niece, so I didn't spend a lot of time in the studio or at the sewing machine. I did get a chance today to finish both blocks today so here is Block 4:
I used fabrics from JoAnn Fabrics that I fell in love with and bought a few months ago called Buttercream Premium Fabrics, Elizabeth Collection. I wasn't going to use it, but since the colors are all about the same, I thought it would be great to have some of the block patterns blend or disappear so that they kind of pop out at you after you've been starting at them a minute. Like an optical illusion.
Thank you to the sponsors of the Sewcial Bee Sampler. Check the hosts blogs to find information on weekly giveaways.
Until next time, stay #CreativelyInspired!
