Easter Adventures 2017

What a wonderful Easter weekend we have had! Its always a joy to be able to spend extra time with your family, and this weekend was no exception!

I think Lil Monkey may be get to the last years of believing in the Easter Bunny by we will both continue to hold on to letting each other believe there is still magic as long as possible. A week or so ago he made a "letter" from the Easter Bunny and left it for us to find. It was so sweet.

I spent some time organizing the studio this weekend and found his kitchen towel and pot holder I made a few years ago. It never ceases to make me smile when I see it. I want to say the pattern was on the Commonthreads/DMC website, but I can't be sure. I can't find it on there now.

This Easter I made this cute bunny duo, finishing it a few days ago. I had time, so I added a Easter egg as well. I'll probably frame it and put it on the mantel during the Spring. I wish I knew who made the pattern for the bunnies so I could share. I found the printed pattern in a pile of papers, so it could have come from anywhere. I made the egg pattern up as I stitched. I was a little nervous, but it turned out great!

Yesterday, turned out to be a day of crafting. We had a play date at our house with The Princess and The Professor in the morning and decorated banner triangles to add to our Easter Baskets, then we went to their house in the afternoon to dye eggs. A first for us.

There are more photos on my Instagram account. I love crafting with these kiddos!

I finally pulled out the Easter decorations at 9:45 p.m. last night and put them out in the common areas. To be honest we only have a small tote with Easter decor. It was not really a holiday we go big for, so in the nearly 15 years of marriage it is the one holiday we never really celebrated with decor.

We also put out the Easter basket for the Easter Bunny to fill and Lil Monkey was quite happy with what he brought!

I hope you and your family had a great holiday.

Until next time ...
