When I first got married, I had just started stitching tea towels. When I lived alone before we were married, I loved having holiday and seasonal towels in the kitchen. When I started cross stitching tea towels, I loved how quick they were and I found lots of free and budget-friendly projects that fit both seasonal and holiday themes and some that could be altered to fit several.
While I loved how beautiful and pristine they looked when complete, I remember my great-grandmother always said she didn't want the things she made for us sitting on shelves and collecting dust, she wanted them to be used, loved.
So of course, I took this to heart when I was making my tea towels. Looking at them as I folded laundry this morning, you can really see that used is certainly a description, and they are very much loved.
